It’s that time of year again. It is time to celebrate the Love & Light and the beauty of Cape Town with an event that aims to bring people together in a unified space of amazing music and happy energy.
Coincidentally, although we know there is no such thing, our 8th year date falls upon a Full Moon, known as the Strawberry Moon, a time that signified the harvest of wild berries in the summertime.
Full moon is a time of creative outflow, a time to harvest and enjoy that which was started over the New Moon. This particular Midsummer’s Full Moon can be a time to manifest and celebrate everything created and explored through 2018.
We want you to celebrate with us, under the beautiful Sun, followed by the Full Moon, at our full day event on 22 December 2018. Expect more of what you have come to love about Love & Light, with some extra touches, to make it the best of its kind to date.

Love & Light are proud to announce that tickets are now on sale

Headlining artists

Captain Hook is one of the top DJs, musicians and producers in the Psychedelic Trance (Psytrance) & Progressive Trance scene. Travelling across a diverse musical path, Reshef Harari always achieved success guided by the frequencies.

From the early days of DJing with vinyl, through the successful collaborative project Quantize, the visit to Techno-land as Sheff with releases on top labels, and finally as Captain Hook, with which he took the world by storm. Following his heart and sonic manipulations, he keeps innovating and never stagnating.

With two top-selling albums on Iboga Records, countless single and compilation releases and collaborations with the best electronic music producers, Captain Hook has been playing festivals, parties and venues all around the globe.

Listening to a set of Ghost Rider feels like being sucked into a huge particle accelerator where elements from the worlds of Progressive Trance and Psytrance collide. Emitting high amounts of energy, they merge into something new, an enigmatic reaction that opens wormholes all over the dancefloor.

It's this innovative fusion of deeply hypnotic atmospheres and light, uplifting grooves that make Ghost Rider an instant success when his first EP is released at the end of 2012. Only one year later the Israel-based Russian is invited to perform his highly demanded debut album ‘Complextro’ live at major festivals all around the world.

Ever since he hasn’t stopped touring. Vlad Krivoshein started producing music at the young age of 14, a factor that explains his outstanding technical precision. Whereas his up-tempo Psytrance project, Magneto explains his great knowledge of the mechanics of mind-alerting dance music.

Seen in front of this background, it's actually not a big surprise that Ghost Rider is also one half of Class A, yet another highly successful Progressive Trance project he makes in collaboration with Ranji. In 2016 Ghost Rider joined 432 Records, however, he is still releasing tracks on labels like Blue Tunes.

~ NOK ~

NOK is Alexander Dorkian (aka Galactika) from Hamburg Germany.

In uniting massive thrust with dreamy easiness, NOK is introducing a New Order...
... in terms of up-to-date Progressive Trance.

It's the skilful play with moods and sound colours that create a one-of-a-kind suspense on Alexander Dorkian's new album. The rolling force of heavy bass lines meets fluffy and light pad sounds. At one moment the atmosphere is dominated by rhythmically swirling synth chords, shortly thereafter they morph into elegant melodies.

Every title on the album is characterized by this organic modulation between full throttle dancefloor power and trancy easiness. Additionally, there is a great variation from one track to another, thanks to various collaborations with renowned colleagues and some remixes of proved and tested Progressive bangers.

Metronome,Henrik from Sweden began producing in early 2000 and quickly established himself among the progressive acts in Sweden and Europe. After releasing a variety of singles on Jum-Jam Records, ZMA Records, Groove Zone and finally Spin Twist Records in 2007, he decided to take a break from the music scene.

During the following years, a lot of experimenting went on to develop a new modern sound to keep up with the ever changing progressive scene. The result is a melodic and groovy sound, inspired by groundbreakers like Phaxe. This became the transition from hard offbeat to a melodic and emotional style, well suitable for a sunny festival afternoon.

In 2013, he settled for a comeback and got signed by Blue Tunes Records, where he released his debut EP “Rise Above”. This definitely marked a new start and the debut was followed by not only one, but six more EP’s along with various singles up to this day.

He has also been working extensively on collaborations with artists like Morten Granau, Eddie Bitar, Ranji and Jacob, as well as remixing tracks from upper
